The game that is playing now is Colombia vs Uruguay, both countries in South America, and whose colors are represented in the Google doodle.
To the left we have a bird that looks like an owl dressed in a traditional Sombrero looking hat. However it can portray the national bird of Colombia, Andean Condor. It looks like that, that is not an owl. The bird in the Sombrero hat is all dressed in grey colour tones. The bird is wearing “Google”-glasses, I say this since the glasses have the typical logotype colours of Google. The left bird is a bigger bird and the bird to the right is a thinner bird, that also looks like it is wearing glasses, however not Google-glasses, also associates to the Colombian flag. The owl has glasses containing flowers with five yellow leafs, the eyes are green. The other birds eyes look more redish, like someone who has watched too much soccer on TV. In the middle of the birds there is a telly and from the telly from witch there are coming signal signs, that are common if you want to symbolise signals. To the left of the left bird we have a G in the colors of the Colombian flag. Above the left bird there are pennants of the Colombian flags colours. To the right of the smaller bird with long legs we have the letters gle in the colors white, blue and yellow, those of the flag Uruguay.
The football is not black and white anymore, now it is yellow and green, like in the previous soccer game doodles. Underneath the owl there are rectangles. 4 red rectangles, 4 yellow rectangles and 6 blue rectangles. Underneath the smaller bird with long legs there are three clearly visible rectangles, a half rectangle underneath the g, 4 white rectangles and 2 yellow rectangles.
The TV is placed on a log, and of course TV today can be logged, at least those that use cable TV gives the TV company all the information needed for what programs you look at. In the 1990’s you needed a special box to record how you looked at TV. Those were placed in the homes of people that where research households for marketing companies, often used by the movie industry and TV-channels to see what channels people looked at and during what time. That information was then used to target an audience for the promoted programs that got the best hours and also for what ad spots to sell to companies that wanted to have commercials. Today the TV-selling companies know this by logging, so that the TV is placed on a log is nothing revolutionary really. TV is logged. They may know your TV preference’s if they like.
Glasses often represent an intellectual person.
In this doodle the ball is at the thin bird with long legs and red eyes, not at the owl. The bird has light blue and yellow neck clothing. Perhaps the left bird represents a Google employee looking interesting and smart? Well. The bird is the one that has looked at the TV/monitor for too long, where the ball lays now.
The old incoming phone cables come in the colors light blue, yellow, dark blue and white. Light blue and yellow may represent incoming. However the new phone cables are blue, white, green and purple. If you mix the light blue and yellow you get green, just as the military. The ball lays now at the military? Long nose like Pinocchio may be synonym with lying. Everytime that Pinocchio lied he got a long nose. Also the shape of the nose looks like the Pinocchio figurine. So are the military lying?
Even though the left bird most likely is a condor it surely looks like an owl. Owls are smart birds. With the glasses the bird looks and sees with smart Google eyes. If it had been an owl, owls are known to be able to fly silently and attach their prey. Their wings are constructed to reduce frequencies. They have good hearing and eyes, and they have a camouflaged body. The left bird has the same colours as the Andean Condor has, as well as long eared owls.
The Andean Condor is bold, since it has sterilizing effect on high altitudes when exposed to dehydration and ultraviolet light, according to Wikipedia. The Andean Condor is found in the mountains and is rare in Colombia. The bird is physiologically a soarer. It glides and flaps its wings very seldom, it glides. It relays on thermals to stay up. They feed mainly on carrion. They travel long distances each day. Inland condors live on domestic animals like cattle, horses, mules, sheep, pigs, goats and dogs etcetera.
They can go without eating for five days. They have to feed on ground. They are important in keeping away disease since they feed on carrions. Wild Andean Condors can live 50 years, since they have no real predators.
The condor plays an important role in folklore and mythology. It was linked with the Sun deity and believed to be the ruler of the upper world. It is also considered to be a symbol of health. The condor has been involved in strange rituals. I.e. one ritual they tied it to a bull and when it had killed the bull it was let free again. It has also been in bull fighting rituals. The other rituals were so cruel I cannot even write about them. Those rituals just reveal how terrible mankind can be.
A Sun God is a God that represents the sun, or is identical to the sun. It is a symbol for the fight between light and darkness, good and evil, order and chaos.
In many languages the sun is masculine and the moon feminine, however in some Nordic countries it is the other way around. In many cultures the sun has been part in stories and mythologies. In the Nordic it was the Sol, in Egypt Ra, other known names were Surya, Shamash, Amaterasu, Elagabal, Sol Invictus and Helios. In most of these Sun worshipping cultures the God rule night and day in different stories. Even in Christianity Jesus has been considered to be the Sun. In Greek mythology Apollo is the Sun God. In Japan they had a sun goddess.
The condor is a symbol for strength and health in Andean cultures.
The Andean condor is in several coat of arms of countries with the Andean mountains. The Andean condor is considered threatened and has been put on the red list.
Since the Andean Condor lives up high and has a sombrero (=shadow) it could represent satellites, they are way up high, hiding in the shadows. And what the satellites cannot see is what ends up in the shadows on Earth really. Like the Andean Condor satellites are not as many, they are both rare, compared to all the gear on Earth. When I see the world shadow it can also be a symbol for shadow recruit. I come to think of that just because of a movie named that.
If the country had not had an Andean Condor as the bird it could have been an owl. So I give you an alternative interpretation with an owl as well.
With Uto-Aztec cultures owls are associated in sorcery and other evil things.
Also in Arab mythology owls were considered bad omens. In Hinduism the owl is vahana. Vahana is an animal or a mythical entity. The owl is a mount, woven into iconography and mythology. The Vahana is placed by the divine’s side. Vah means to carry.
Here in the West the owl is considered as wisdom. In Greek mythology the patron goddess of wisdom, Athena, was represented as an owl. The owls howling was considered as a death-owl-sound, a bad omen. Some Canadian provinces use the owl as a symbol and so on.
Well. The owl is a smart animal, well-adapted for survival anyways, with a smart body and mind to fit to survive. Here the owl is wearing a sombrero hat. The sombrero comes from the word sombra, which means the shadow. Interesting that the Google owl is in the shadow, smart listener, well adapted for its purpose. If we interpret the bird as the national bird of Colombia, the Andean Condor, then the strength and health are in the shadows.
Now the ball lays with the bird with narrow long legs and a yellow-lightblue dress. Hmm. What does that mean? The national bird of Uruguay is Hornero, the Ovenbird. Hornero is the word for an oven baker. The bird in the doodle surely looks like the ovenbird. The bird has a long nose, but not as the one in the image, here the nose looks more like Pinocchio’s. The interesting thing is that these birds nest on fence posts and telephone poles. So that the light blue and yellow cables are old telephone cables and such a strange association after all. Also mixing the colours gives the colour green – often used in military clothes. And the nose is like Pinocchio. So the military nest in the old phone lines and lie about it? And the owl/Andean Condor that sees, hears and understands is smart and stays in the shadows? Also the sombrero protects you from the sun, so you do not get burned. And here the TV is in the middle, transmitting signals in the animation. So both see it? And the ball now lays at the Hornero bird? Equal to the military?
The rectangles underneath the two birds, players, in this doodle, look like a game plan. In Swedish we would say: “brickor i ett spel”. Pieces on a game plan. On the left birds side there are the numbers 4 4 6 =14= a bad number according to some Asians. In numerology 14 is number 5, equal to balance. On the Hornero side there is the numbers 4 2 3 and a half chip in the end. If we read it as U2, which would be You too. So let’s use that technique then we read the first as four for six, or For four six. For to free, or Four to free. I do not know the meaning of the amount of numbers on the game board. But summarizing them they are five and nine. Those are the numbers for balance and completion of the number series 1-9.
The light blue and yellow result in white LED lighting. This could be a light bulb representation. Also a representation of an idea. The yellow bow (a sort of tie) is a word that can be used for bowing down also. In Swedish it is “gul fluga”, a fluga is a fly. So I, as a Swede, can associate to “a fly on the wall”: Also someone who can listen. The Swedish fly on the wall in my case. However in this case the yellow bow is a symbol for one branch in the US army, according to Wikipedia. Funny enough the light blue-collar is, according to the unscientific source Wikipedia a symbol for temp worker. The captain of the Uruguay team has a yellow arm band in an image on DN.se, so he gets the colours of the bird that way. In the Colombian team the goalie has the grey clothes.
Both birds are watching the same frequences in the TV, we could say it means playing in the same quartyard. However, they are on two sides of the TV, not the same.
So what does this Google doodle mean? Well the Andean Condor hides in the shadows, way up high in the sky, just like the satellites communications, it is smart so it don’t get burned with it’s Sombrero, afterall the bird has adapted to that by being bold. Bold can also be used as a word for someone that is bold. To be bold is to have courage. The hornero bird(military) nests in the old phone posts and looks at all the transmissions made in the world. In this case the bird lies and the ball now lays in the hands of the hornero bird(a military temp worker) to come with an idea.
I haven’t analysed the letters and the pennants, feel free to do it yourself. There are 12 Colombian and 12 Uruguay pennants. 12 is an elite number in numerology.
Perhaps there are even more interpretations, feel free to try yourself. It is pretty funny, when you start looking. Conscience or on purpose? What do you think?
